Barrus shows new Yanmar engines

E.P. Barrus, which this year is celebrating its centenary, showed new additions to the Yanmar L-Series of air-cooled diesel engines. These L-V variants have been designed for situations where the forthcoming Stage V emissions regulations have to be met. The L48V, L70V and L100V have

respective maximum outputs of 4.7, 6.4 and

9.1hp, and they have the same footprint and dimensions as the existing L-Series models, facilitating installation into a broad range of machinery. The company has also announced that it will be re-locating to a 16-acre site on

the Graven Hill Development, just to the south of its current premises in Bicester, after a seven-year search. MD Robert Muir said, “Our growth plans have been constrained by the size of our existing premises and it has always been our intention to expand if possible within the Oxfordshire area.” Barrus expects to occupy the new site in 2019.

AJC Trailers’ stand was dominated by its Ecostatic 24 welfare unit, which provides canteen facilities for up to eight people, and also includes a toilet/washroom, drying room and an office area. Designed for energy efficiency, it incorporates low-voltage sensor technology so that power from the 12V battery is constantly maintained at the maximum output.
