New Takeuchi Hybrid
Takeuchi unveiled the TB 210 Hybrid, a 1310kg mini excavator which is fitted with an electric motor as well as a diesel engine to enable emission-free operation indoors and for reduced running costs.
Operation is identical in diesel and electric modes, with the machine being switched on and off

Genquip is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Groundhog range of mobile welfare units this year and marked the occasion at Plantworx with a specially made cake shaped like its popular GP360 model. In addition, the company launched the Fusion 30 Pulse, a deluxe energy-efficient model
fitted with every available optional extra, including twin solar panels, telemetry and tracking, and loose wheel nut indicators. Until December, it will be available at a £1,000 discount against the normal price. Also new is a 9.75m static Fusion model for up to 12 people, incorporating a compact 9.8kVA
‘power cube’ generator, as well as a 12V battery system that enables the interior LED lighting to and diesel powered heating to operate independently of the generator for energy efficiency. It also includes a low-flush toilet and a waterless urinal. Genquip has expanded its training
programme with a short presentation designed for hire controllers who normally offer general plant and machinery and may be unfamiliar with the concept and specific characteristics of welfare units.

Altrad Belle developments
On a packed and eye-catching stand that included several working demonstrations, Altrad Belle showed several products that were first previewed at the Executive Hire Show and which have now been further developed following feedback. The 3.4kVA GPX 3400 model from
the company’s new range of portable generators now incorporates both 32A and 16A sockets to accommodate equipment with heavier power requirements. Also, the 5kVA GPX 5000 now has a wheeled frame for on-site mobility. Machines in the manufacturer’s
pressure washer line-up have been upgraded with quick-release couplings and incorporate modified twin spray lances which have a separate outlet for applying cleaning agents. In addition, the PWX 13/230 model now has a larger pump and gearbox for better priming capability.
