All set for Plantworx

The sun is finally putting his hat back on, and outdoor tradeshows are firmly back on the agenda. High on the tick-lists of construction machinery specialists – and several years later than originally intended – Plantworx 2023 promises a return to the East of England showground in fine style.

Our highlights of the two-day event will follow in due course. In the meantime, the exhibitor roster is already edging towards full capacity, with nearly 300 companies already signed up and a some 35% of those making their show debuts. Which isn’t bad, by any measure.

Showcasing, and in many cases demonstrating their wares are the likes of Hitachi Construction Machinery, XCMG, Caterpillar, Hidromek, Hydrema, Hyundai, SMT (Volvo), Takeuchi, SANY, Sunward Europe, Liugong, Mecalac, Yanmar Compact Equipment, Kubota, Develon, AVANT, BOMAG, Brokk, Merlo and others of such ilk.

Tenstar

Plantworx will also see the latest advancements in engine and battery storage technologies – Xerotech Hibernium and LIFOS have both been shortlisted for ‘Plantworx Innovation’ awards, while Atlas Copco will be showing its new ZBC battery storage system.

Working on construction sites is inherently risky and the machinery is often the target for the wrong sort of attention, hence telematic solutions, cameras and sensors will also be on display at the event, from suppliers such as MachineMax, ABAX Telematics, Plinx and Onwave. While Spillard, Xwatch Safety Solutions, GKD, SiteZone, Prolec and Leica will be highlighting their innovative safety solutions.

On a related note, Plantworx 2023 will include a record number of attachment manufacturers this year, with renowned brands such as Auger Torque, Digga Attachments, Digbits, Arden Equipment, Worsley

Sunward

Plant and BPH Attachments in attendance, alongside tiltrotator specialists Engcon and Steelwrist.

Plant simulation offers a way to train inexperienced operators in a relatively risk- free environment, to which end the ‘Simulation Zone’ will return to the event. Plantforce Rentals leads the way again, partnering with leading industry players such as Trimble, Leica Geosystems and Tenstar providing visitors with an accurate and, as this author can attest, entertainingly immersive experience. Expect queues at peak times!
