News New grinder range
launched Power tool specialist FEIN has just announced a new range of grinders comprising over 40 tools – with corded and cordless options available. The new portfolio includes the CG 15 compact
angle grinder. The tool’s 1500W motor allows users to operate with efficiency and endurance. The CG 15 also offers a variety of safety features, including restart protection, kick back check, jam monitoring and a brake that brings the tool to a halt in under two seconds. The new range also includes FEIN’s ‘Protago’ high-safety angle grinder, which aims to set new safety standards in the industry. The Protago is available on the 18v AMPShare battery platform powered by Bosch. The multi-brand shared system allows users to power over 200 tools from over 30 brands with just one AMPShare battery. “Our grinder portfolio was developed as a result
of our application-based approach at FEIN, which means that we are out in the industry meeting users to gain a detailed understanding of their working environments and the challenges they are facing to ensure that our products are meeting their needs,” said FEIN UK Managing Director Andy Mills.
Plant modelling pro at Plantworx As well as dealing in construction machinery, a great many hire companies seem to
enjoy dinky and minutely accurate models of the same. It is good news, therefore, that Gaz Evans Models (GEMs) will be showcasing some of his excellent wares at Plantworx in June. With permission from various manufacturers, Gaz produces all of his scale
models in-house. The process entails using original drawings and hand-building the master model using plastic card or 3D printing. The parts are then cast white metal, cleaned, assembled, painted and detailed by GEMs. “In a world where precision and detail matter, Gaz Evans
