EDITOR’S LETTER

“ The concept of Think Global People has truly come of age.”

e designed the Future of Work Festival to explore the new world of work and what that means today and in the future, perhaps five or ten years or even several

decades ahead. The outdoor countryside setting in the beautiful Weald of

Kent allowed us to experience the power of nature, think well, communicate with peers and colleagues and ignite new ideas. It also reinforced the importance of wellbeing. I firmly believe it is time to get out of our silos and that the

concept of Think Global People has truly come of age. The Festival, held on the 9 June, was about connection.

Connecting people, ideas and trends and moving forward with renewed purpose as a global community. We said attendees would join the best thinkers in Global

Mobility, HR and leadership, in a glorious setting. Judging from the feedback received, we have delivered on that. The wealth of content in this issue of the magazine and across our media and social media, together with videos capturing the day and interviews with speakers, award winners and guests, will enable us to share the experiences and findings with our online readers globally. Those attending in person had a fantastic opportunity to

engage in dialogue with so many wonderful experts who generously shared ideas and knowledge and helped to facilitate potential collaborations that will ultimately build a better world of work. We are already organising follow-up workshops and

programmes with our guest speakers for the autumn with more bespoke options for 2023. Enjoy this issue’s focus on the latest developments and

feed in your ideas for a bumper autumn digital magazine and online content. Building on the Festival’s Hub communities of Wellbeing

& Engagement; Leadership; Innovation & Agility; and Global Mobility, we will move the dialogue around the future of work and workplace forward through the Centre for Global Excellence & Leadership section on our website. Watch this space for how to get involved and help shape the future. We also celebrate the award winners in this edition with

a packed special supplement revealing the inside stories of success. Huge congratulations to all our winners and our thanks to all our Shortlist and those who entered in this our fifteenth anniversary year.
