“ This year the judges were looking to see how the entrants had managed the challenging circumstances arising from the pandemic and how they managed to achieve excellence during adversity. We were certainly not disappointed. In fact, we were inspired by the amazing outcomes achieved.”

DR SUE SHORTLAND, HEAD JUDGE 32

MARK ETHELSTON has over 26 years’ experience in International Assignments / Global Mobility

which

encompasses programme and policy management, strategic policy and programme development, technology implementation, expatriate taxation, vendor selection and strategic account management.

Much of Mark’s experience has been focused on the financial services industry and companies with project- based assignment requirements. Having worked in client-facing managed services, advisory

and

in-house capacities, Mark has the advantage of understanding clients’ challenges and needs from the inside. He also has an unusually broad experience across all key

aspects

of global mobility, which is further enhanced by a mix of both strategic / advisory and operational / process- driven aspects in roles to date. He also benefits from the experiences of being on assignment to the United States and working as a local hire in Hong Kong.
