c“Insights on the fast ”
hange sweeping across industry sectors
The wave of autumn conferences from the Worldwide ERC Symposium in Chicago to the CBI Conference in London, which was attended by the Prime Minister, and the CIPD’s national conference in Manchester have highlighted the fast change that is sweeping across industry sectors and the potential impact on the workplace and talent of the future. In this edition we bring you insights on the technologies and talent trends, as well as the UK’s Industrial Strategy, which will all affect patterns of mobility and the nature of relocation support required over the coming years.
The agreement reached between the UK and the remaining 27 EU members on plans for a transitional deal sent a wave of relief across the City when this was announced in Brussels on 8 December. However, companies are still busy with their contingency plans in response to Brexit and there will inevitably be relocation moves to destinations in Europe. Throughout 2018, we will continue to provide practical advice on policy and group moves across our media. Don’t forget to download our invaluable Global Mobility Toolkit for the latest fact sheet resources.
Family support is high on the agenda, and we have a range of articles revealing how companies are making strides to provide practical solutions for relocating partners. Education is as always a priority for families and, as well as covering the modern day boarding options, we look at single sex education and the importance of STEM and careers advice.
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with AoEC to offer our community coaching and training for individuals and teams responding to change and growing their organisations.
Now is the time to enter the Relocate Awards. Showcase your organisation’s achievements and motivate your team by acknowledging the strides they have made in supporting relocation and talent management across this exciting and growing sector.
