The CBI conference was held for the first time at the gleaming InterContinential O2, on the Greenwich Peninsular, which boasts stunning views of the Thames and across the river to the thriving business district of Canary Wharf. A contrast in landscape to previous years when the conference was held in the heart of Mayfair on Park Lane. This is perhaps symbolic of how times have changed in the business world. Fiona Murchie reflects on the busy conference season and the implications for global mobility.
