A time of change

Can we adapt to the changing nature of credit?

Laurie Beagle Managing director, Forums International lauriebeagle@forumsinternational.co.uk

Is Credit in the job title now dead? We are seeing more and more job titles that end in …2Cash. That can be any one of Order, Opportunity,

Acknowledgement, Enquiry 2 CASH. Just some we have seen lately. Hopefully this is a good sign for our

profession. We hope that credit professionals are now expanding their areas of

responsibility

which in some cases includes the addition of Accounts Payable. Order2Cash is a massive end to end cycle. A BIG Elephant. So, if this is the trend does that mean that

you are establishing yourselves more in the business and even joining the board? I would very much like to hear your views.

Changes O2C has prompted us to make some changes also. Since 1998 we ran the SAP User Group which has helped hundreds of companies over the years. We

have now amalgamated

 The Evolution – E-invoice presentment and payment (EIPP).  Lean by design – Increasing process effi ciency.  Roundtable – Q & A

The power of networking Yes. At last, Face2Face meetings are coming back. We are being told that everybody is now “Zoomed Out” and that they miss the ability to network with their peers. Virtual meetings have been good but now

the Pandemic is relatively under control after two years Face2Face must come back. Some for various reasons, for example

travel distances and other commitments will still choose virtual and we understand that and will cater for them. Face2Face must be the new future

for networking.

The Ukraine-Russia confl ict has

the SAP

User Group into the Order 2 Cash Process Improvement Group. This group has a new format, discussion and solution based with case studies and covers the whole Order2Cash Cycle not just technology and includes AP. O2C PI is supported by the top vendors

in their specifi c fi elds, and they provide invaluable

knowledge

automation, AI and RPA Technology, Digitising core

solutions, Cash allocation, Online payments, O2C processes, credit, collections, including dispute management, and so on.
