FIRST LAUNCH COMMENTS Feb 2019

Early 2019 2018

2013

Nice-looking new IRC speedster with a launch price around 160,000 euros

52 years after the (beautiful) original Swan 36 went afloat this one’s from Cape Canaveral! This prolific yard are now CNC-milling all their own tooling in solid aluminium – that’s mighty

Designed from the outset to be operated by a small crew this 76-footer can also accommodate a couple of professional crew with separate access to the galley and a generous cabin. Launched in 2014 the 17th CNB 76 was recently delivered… on schedule

Fast, roomy with very contemporary styling. European Yacht of the Year 2017. We likey. Expect a long wait. Orders are still well backed up

Just 4,500kg with a wide, flat, extremely powerful hull form. And now better IRC optimised

Carbon construction and luxury interiors come together on a platform well suited for exhilarating, yet safe sailing. Kept deliberately simple for shorthanding, a perfect yacht for exploring remote corners of the world without the need for crew

Ten of the sturdy steel one-designs are being built for the next Golden Globe Race in 2022 Definitely a shiny new 40ft model rather than a revamp of an existing model A rapid fusion of good modern styling with a very competitive hull and rig More than 45 examples sold – now an attractive pre-owned proposition

Curved C-profile daggerboards and optional T-foil rudders improve performance and reduce pitching in a seaway. Lightweight carbon construction, spacious interiors and luxurious finish set a new standard in high-performance cruising catamarans

Smokin’. All-carbon canting-keel flat-out one-design racer. Top shelf only

Sam Manuard’s latest Class40 shows some clear departures from the all-conquering Mach3 Very attractive mid-sized Italian ORC offering with IRC potential as a bonus

A wicked-looking all-round, multiple-rule 40ft flyer selling at a base price of US$345,000 A good-looking lightweight, slippery and modern cruiser-racer from Poland. ORC prospect?

An alluring range of dual-purpose yachts for an expanding sector. ‘A raceboat in disguise’ by design, the 66 has been collecting accolades and silver around the world. Boat no6 is set to launch later this year… the lightest and fastest to date

A production foiler for the average Joe – we hope Joe is a little better than average, to be honest Proven IRC cruiser-racer. Hauled a fair bit of Caribbean silver in its heyday

Bénéteau crank up the style and performance of their multihull offering… and seriously so!

Gunboat wasted no time commissioning some great-looking new designs by signing up VPLP to deliver up-to-date solutions for high-performance big cats. Boat no1 takes your breath away; the originals were good but this is something else…

The prototypes were carefully refined and all the boats now reflect that. 30+ sold A ‘cruising yacht’ that is faster than a TP52 – cool and pretty

Lots of carbon, Kevlar and epoxy do indeed make for a ‘rapido’ ocean cruiser Rapido 60 The first ICE Yachts multihull venture – two boats already sold. Stylish indeed… and sporty
