The annual RORC Transatlantic Race starts on Saturday 8 January from Calero Marinas Puerto Calero, Lanzarote, Canary Islands to Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina, Grenada. The 8th edition of the race, organized in association with the International Maxi Association, will also partner with Yacht Club de France – one of the oldest yacht clubs in France. The 2,995 nm OSR Cat-1 offshore race acts as a feeder race for February’s RORC Caribbean 600 held in Antigua. The last race was won by the French Class40, Palanad 3 and the longest race in the

RORC programme race is open to IRC classes with a minimum rating 1.004. It attracts yachts from all corners of the world and everything from maxis to multihulls, Class40s to superyachts, as well as classic yachts.

Island Water World Grenada Sailing Week kicks of the start of the regatta season at the southern end of the Caribbean. Open to everyone, it is four days of fun, exciting and competitive racing, six nights of fantastic parties and a lay day (with dock parties) held between two amazing host venues. Sailors come from all over the world to race with the cool trades of the winter months in the beautiful blue waters of Grenada. Back in the 1950’s Sint Maarten was the birthplace of multihull sailing in the Caribbean with inspired designs from Peter Spronk who built boats here that are still sailing today. And, in this innovative spirit, the organizers of this Regatta are acknowledging the rapid growth in the market for modern multihulls and the technological advances in the industry that enable these boats to be fast, safe and comfortable. Entries are open for the 13th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600 starting in Antigua on Monday 21 February 2022. This Cat-3 race is a firm fixture on the international offshore racing calendar. The unique 600 nm course uses 11 Eastern Caribbean islands as turning marks, providing navigators and crew with an enthralling challenge in warm trade wind conditions. An annual temptation for both professional and Corinthian sailors from around the world, it is now recognised as one of the world’s classic offshore races.
