of our speakers, Jeane Freeman, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport at the Scottish Government. She will outline some of the key priorities moving forward and how they will be delivered. Other speakers will include Ricky and
Annie Pollock from specialist dementia care provider, HammondCare, who will deliver a session on design choices to
enable older people and those with dementia to access and use outdoor spaces safely. Wholly in line with Scotland’s aim to
improve care for the elderly in order to reduce pressure on hospitals; the talk will also explore the importance of product selection, helping specifiers to select the building products that work best for people with dementia. Also on the line-up over the two
days is Lianne Knotts from Medical Architecture, who will give a joint presentation with NHS Ayrshire and Arran, on the creation of a new 12-bed national secure adolescent inpatient unit at the Ayshire Central Hospital site. The session will cover the delivery of
the project through the Frameworks Scotland 2 initiative and how the design and new clinical approach will enhance mental health services. And Simon Kydd of WSP will look to
the future with an overview of how planning and design can help to create a new generation of health and care facilities that will better meet the needs of today’s populations. Overall there will be three sessions,
