The countdown to this year’s showpiece series of events around the country has begun, with the IoD confi rming a diverse range of inspiring speakers. Here are details of where and when you can join the conversation

n March 2018 directors from around the UK gathered in London to hear from – and network with – some of the foremost thinkers in business at the three-day IoD Open House event. This year it’s going on the road, with 20 separate events confi rmed at venues around the nation from May to November. Each will be based on one of three core themes, designed to help you choose the events of most benefi t to you and your business. “Global” events will explore strategies for international expansion in a turbulent world; “Connected” events

will consider the opportunities and threats presented by unprecedented levels of tech-enabled collaboration; and “Inclusive” events will focus on the proven link between inclusivity and profi tability. Interactive speaker sessions and workshops will address the most important issues facing business, each with the aim of helping leaders and their organisations to make themselves fi t for the future and able to grasp the opportunities it will offer. Indeed, all events will be accredited by the IoD so they can form part of members’ continuing professional development.


The programme will also give delegates an unrivalled chance to add valuable new contacts by networking with leading entrepreneurs, policy-makers and thinkers. Venues including Cardiff Castle and Newmarket Racecourse will provide a striking backdrop to events that have been designed to re-energise all attendees.
