Colormaker Industries celebrates 60 years of ink manufacture


C


manufacturer of Permaset screen printing inks, is celebrating its 60th anniversary.


The business started in 1958, producing enamel house paints as G&H Chemicals and in the 1960s moved into water-based house paints. The company also started making water-based inks under licence. In the 1970s, G&H purchased Permasetʼs licensor, consolidating both companies into Colormaker Industries.


Through the 1980s, Permaset grew to dominate the Australian textile screen printing market. Colormakerʼs current owner, David Stuart, started at Colormaker as sales manager in the mid-1990s. His R&D background and passion for eco-friendly technology inspired him to acquire Colormaker in 2003 and in 2005, Permaset Aqua, the 100% water- based eco-friendly screen printing ink was

subsidiary of Geiger, a multi-generational family owned and operated company in the US, has announced it is acquiring London-based distributor EMC Advertising Gifts as part of the companyʼs continued expansion strategy to support clients in the UK and across Europe.


EMC has been in business since 1966 and has gained a reputation as one of the best known promotional


merchandise distributors in the UK. GeigerBTC made the acquisition as part of its ongoing strategy to support the needs of global customers in North America, Europe and worldwide. EMC managing director, Simon Kay, said:

The charityʼs vision is to provide a safe environment offering a wide range of support and specialist services with the aim to increase resilience and empowerment within families.


As a team that has all the benefits that are created by living in a stable environment, TCTC wanted to give something back and to support a charity that benefited children in some way. SNAP not only supports children but also benefits the families who tirelessly care for kids with needs. As part of TCTCʼs fundraising, members of the team will be competing in a variety of sports
