Kornit Digital launches the Atlas K

ornit Digital has announced the introduction of the Kornit Atlas, the super-industrial, next-generation DTG printing platform.

Following the success of Kornitʼs Storm HD6 and Avalanche HD6 / HDK, the Atlas is companyʼs next-generation DTG printing platform, providing garment decorators and screen printers a unique tool for mastering the current and future challenges of the textile supply chain. The Kornit Atlas is a heavy-duty system created for super-industrial garment decoration businesses. It was designed to deliver a typical annual production capacity of up to 350,000 impressions, optimising production efficiency and cost of ownership.

It is aimed at highly productive garment decorators, mid to large size screen

Heraeus Noblelight introduces the Infradry Compact

T

he Infradry Compact is a new high performance infra- red (IR) dryer module for a wide range of water- based inks and coatings from Heraeus Noblelight. It combines high power density infra-red heating with controlled air introduction and extraction to provide effective and efficient drying. The heat to dry the inks or colours provided by

medium wave, depending on the specific application. NIR emitters operate at a surface temperature of 2600°C for very rapid, intense drying, while medium wave emitters have a surface temperature of 900°C and offer the most efficient mechanism for the removal of water from a product surface. To remove the heat and water vapour from the inside of the module, the Infradry Compact features a specially developed air duct, which feeds an evenly distributed air flow into the module's drying area, either by internal or external fans. This air is heated by the IR emitters, absorbs the evaporated moisture and then removes it from the drying zone. This prevents saturation of the atmosphere inside the module and also precludes leakage of hot air to surrounding, heat-sensitive machine components. With its very high power density and its extremely

efficient reflectors, which concentrate the IR onto the substrate surface, the new Infradry Compact offers very high drying performance. Its compact, modular design and plug-and-play installation allows easy retrofit and it is configurable with a wide range of interfaces, including Profi-Net and RS485. Lamp replacement is quick and easy through a slide-in drawer and an integral pyrometer and stepless power regulation ensure precise control of drying operations.

Rapid. The Kornit Atlas is equipped with a unique printing engine, featuring an enhanced version of Kornitʼs HD technology, complemented by a professional RIP (raster image processing) software solution, and produces prints that meet the highest standards of retail quality and durability. The all-new Atlas comes ready for Kornitʼs future releases of its cloud-based business intelligence, productivity analytics and optimisation software platforms, scheduled to be released in the second half of 2019. It will allow for easy future network connectivity required to support fleet management and optimisation of global multi-systems and multi-site enterprises.

Graphtec GB introduces new label printing and finishing system Graphtec GB has introduced the new LCX1000 label printing and finishing system.

The LCX1000 consists of two separate machines: the DLP1000 (a high- speed digital printer) and the DLC1000 (a digital finishing machine that provides dual laminating and customised cutting functions). The system enables fast and smooth work transition between the label printing and finishing processes.

The DLP1000 is a high-resolution (600 x 2400dpi) printer, providing a maximum speed of 124mm/sec, a maximum printing width of 152.4mm (six inches) and a media-handling width of 216mm (8.5 inches). The DLC1000 is an all-embracing digital print finishing solution offering multiple functions to enable continuous label production. Unlike most rotary cutters, the DLC1000 does not require expensive cutting dies, thus contributing to the overall cost-saving efficiency of the LCX1000 system. With the laminating function, the DLC1000 imparts a label finish that provides optimum resistance to chemical and environmental degradation, image deterioration and abrasion.
