Coats Epic EcoVerde
An industry fi rst – 100% biodegradable embroidery backing
ETC Supplies has introduced the industry’s fi rst certifi ed 100% biodegradable and recyclable non-woven embroidery backing. This is a unique product that has been developed by one of ETC Supplies’ European factories to meet the demand for 100% biodegradable and recyclable embroidery backing. This wet laid embroidery backing is made from FSG certifi ed natural cellulose wood pulp fi bres from virgin material. The fi bres are fully biodegradable. To strengthen the material a small amount of viscose fi bres are blended in the mix. These viscose fi bres are made from renewable cellulose origin. The fi bres are held in place using a certifi ed 100% biobased binder. This embroidery backing is 100% readily biodegradable according to OECD301B and certifi ed ok to compost to standard EN13432.
