Record number of deals signed at drupa 2024

rupa 2024 in Düsseldorf, Germany, drew to a close on June 7.
The 11-day event oversaw 1,643 exhibitors from 52 nations presenting a showcase of innovations in the Düsseldorf exhibition halls. The international share was 80%, with visitors from a total of 174 countries attending – a record figure. In total, 170,000 trade visitors
attended drupa 2024, with around 96% of all visitors confirming they had fully achieved their visiting objectives. Record breaking interest received for Print & Stitch May roadshows

n May, Print & Stitch travelled throughout the north to both Newcastle and Barnsley.
Across both events, 235 people had registered their interest, breaking last year’s records.
The Newcastle roadshow took place at the Delta by Marriott Newcastle Gateshead on May 21, where there was a continuous flow of visitors throughout the day. Visitors had the opportunity to network with local sales representatives from leading distributors.
Exhibitors then travelled to the Holiday Inn Barnsley on May 23, for another day of connecting and sharing their insights with local businesses. Attendees engaged in meaningful discussions, exchanged ideas, and built new partnerships
The next roadshow will take place on July 9 at the Marriott Leicester, showcasing the latest advancements in printing, garment, and embroidery

The next drupa will be held in 2028.
R A Smart prevents over 103 tonnes of CO2 emissions

t has been one year since R A Smart installed its solar panels.
In May 2023, R A Smart installed over 470 solar panels across the roofs of two of its factories in Macclesfield to reduce its carbon footprint and make the company more sustainable.
Since the installation, the company has avoided putting over 103 tonnes of CO2 emissions into the environment. From the 473 solar panels R A Smart installed, a total of 500 watts of power has been generated from each panel, totalling at 236.5 kWp over its buildings.
