Absolute Apparel acquires 93,000sq ft unit in Telford

olverhampton-based Absolute Apparel has acquired a new
commercial unit in Telford totalling more than 90,000sq ft. The former Portion Solutions premises, located on the Halesfield Industrial Estate, extends to approximately 93,000sq ft and provides a detached three bay industrial premises incorporating a warehouse and offices with internal eaves stretching to 6m in height. Absolute Apparel currently operates out of a warehouse on Racecourse Road in Wolverhampton. This purchase allows the garment distributor to continue to grow and cater for the UK market.

fter running into financial difficulties towards the end of 2024, MHM was listed for sale
on November 14.
A statement on the company’s website said: “As everyone has heard, MHM has unfortunately run into financial difficulties. The cause of the financial difficulties was in the past and it has hindered the continuation of the company immensely.” The business has taken steps to secure the future of the MHM brand and restore its market position through the establishment of a successor company.
As such, insolvency administrators have determined that MHM is closed and no longer owned by Ulrich Loser.
The corporation will continue to operate under the name MHM and the business will be maintained. The business reports that it has a strong order pipeline and several interested buyers have already come forward.
The statement continued: “A new entity will eventually be established to carry forward MHM’s legacy under a new name.”
And despite recent challenges, MHM continues to develop new products with these innovations due to be introduced to the market soon. MHM is headquartered in Austria. MHM’s partner in the UK is MHM Direct GB, based in Stanton By Dale, Derbyshire.

Industry Awards.
Organised by Datateam Business Media, the very first Sign Industry Awards will place at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham on Monday, February 24.

The winners will now be decided by a panel of judges, with the results announced on the big night. Tickets are now available to purchase as the industry looks to celebrate excellence in the visual communications and digital printing sectors.

Frank Jheinga, of Absolute Apparel, said: “We are very happy to have purchased this site in Telford, as our current Wolverhampton facility isn’t large enough to cope with our growing capacity.
“With the two sites we will now
have over 240,000sq ft available, allowing us to store approximately 15,000 pallets at any time.” The new site is well placed on the Halesfield Industrial Estate for easy access to the M54 via the A442 Dual Carriageway.
