Epson first to market with entry-level DTG printer for dark fabrics E

pson has introduced the market’s first entry-level DTG (Direct to Garment) printer that can print directly onto dark, as well as light, fabrics. Completing Epson’s industry- leading range of hybrid DTG and DTF (Direct to Film) printers, the SC-F1000 will be of particular interest to hobbyists, retailers and small businesses that require a cost-effective solution. Using Epson’s unique PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead technology, coupled with NVT (Nozzle Verification Technology), which ensures exceptional image quality and stability, the SC-F1000 is the only printer in its category to include white ink, enabling it to print directly onto dark garments and direct- to-film. Image quality is further enhanced with the use of Epson’s UltraChrome DG2 inks, which reduce bleed from

yellow and black, while a vivid colour profile emphasises richness. With both DTG and DTFilm capacity, the SC-F1000 has the flexibility to print on a wide range of fabric types enabling customers to print on products including t-shirts, hoodies, bags, sweatshirts, and cushions, making the printer ideal for providing in-store printing in real-time. With a highly compact design, the SC-F1000 can be installed in smaller workspaces, and the absence of a fan means that it can be easily situated against a wall. Simple to use, the SC-F1000 offers

he multi-tooled multi-function Veloblade Nexus cutter sits at a starting point of £57K, can be financed for £293/week, and ships with a specification that changes every rule of digital cutting and finishing. You can also make a further £14,250 saving on the cost, with an HMRC allowance on qualifying machinery investment .

The words ‘game changer’ perhaps get bandied about too readily, and sometimes without any real justification. In this instance, perhaps it’s more fitting. Buy a digital cutting table with 4 toolheads and multiple tools from one of the other reputable brands, and you might be asked to spend the sort of money usually associated with a house purchase!

The new Veloblade range, in comparison, offer an exceptional specification featuring multiple toolheads and included tools, allowing a far broader range of businesses to benefit from the increased productivity usually associated with much higher ticket price systems.

The Veloblade Nexus 1816 for example is priced at £57K. When you factor in financing - available from Soyang Europe - that makes the Nexus 1816 affordable for a cost in the region of £293/week, perhaps ‘game changer’ is indeed pertinent in this particular case.

For the first time at PSI, the XJET Switch direct-to-bag printer will be on display. The XJET Switch is the first UV flatbed printing machine formulated for high-quality, full CMYKWW decoration of reusable bags, totes, and hard goods. This state- of-the-art addition to the XJET product line has been developed in response to increased demand for sustainable bags as a promotional medium; following PSI 2023, 60 percent of visitors surveyed stated that they were particularly interested in promotional textiles in 2024, and the event has strengthened its textile offering. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see the recently launched Helix ONE benchtop cylindrical printer in action. A compact addition to the celebrated Helix line, the Helix ONE delivers the power and quality of the traditional Helix printer in a space-efficient industrial design with modular options as promotional printers grow and adapt their offering.

Also on the Inkcups Europe stand will be the flagship Helix cylindrical inkjet printer and the X5 UV flatbed printer, which are once again expected to draw considerable interest from European print businesses.

a range of features that deliver intuitive, accurate and high-quality printing. A large opening lid, for example, simplifies the process of setting the garment or film onto the Platen, and platen sensors detect uneven settings to avoid printing errors. The product also features auto gap adjustment, which sets the platen to the optimum height for printing without manual intervention. Operation of the SC-F1000 is via a touchscreen. Offering USB or Wi-Fi connectivity options, the SC-F1000 also includes a range of features which minimise user maintenance and increase total productivity, such as auto-cleaning and UltraChrome DG2 ink pouches, which are quick and simple to replace. The flexibility and productivity of the SC-F1000 is further improved through Epson’s bundled GarmentCreator2 software, which includes pre-sets for fast, easy printing by DTG & DTF.
