PAC-MAN celebrates 40th


anniversary 2020 marks 40 years since Pac-Man launched into arcades, and Bandai Namco ANDAI Amusement Europe launched a product line at EAG to celebrate the pop culture icon. The range includes a Speaker Phone Charger and Light; a 7” shiny plush including a gold special edition Pac- Man, bobble heads, 3D key chains and the Mr & Mrs watch set.

Reality Laser Tag Holovis showcased its AR Laser Tag experience at EAG last month, adding a new dimension to the thrill of the traditional game by taking it into the virtual world. The customised laser device features a screen as the view finder, so when players look through it they see the real-time view of the real world, overlaid with digital enemies and power ups. The system also players their score, the laser or ballistics trails and their team status and location.


Stranger Things


pinball machines A new line of pinball machines from Stern Pinball, Inc. Is themed around the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. Some models feature a video projector that displays images and animations directly on the playfield, creating dramatic interactions with gameplay action. The models feature distinct hand-drawn art in addition to the custom sculpted, interactive Demogorgon bash toy,guarded by drop targets and a rotating ramp. All models include two hideout ball scoops, a Demodog spinner, three custom ramps, and game rules that will transport players into the Upside Down.


Angry Birds Stomper


The Harry Levy Group launched a new redemption title at this year’s EAG, featuring the hugely popular Angry Birds video-game franchise. It uses a classic stomper format combined with recognisable characters. As the green pigs light up on the forward-facing section, players must follow the sequence with their feet to rack up more and more points. Featuring colourful characters and a clear digital scoreboard, this stomping game puts a modern twist on an arcade classic.
