Strong and successful year for Liseberg
S
ales at Liseberg topped SEK 1,257m in 2019. The park has reported an SEK 91 million profit, an increase of SEK 16 million compared with 2018. Sales per guest have continued to increase, which
has had a positive impact on the company’s total sales and earnings. “Liseberg’s financial foundation is strong and we are
well prepared for the large investments that await in the coming years,” said CEO Andreas Andersen. As an increasingly full-year operation, there is a clear
pattern of guests moving from the summer season to Halloween and Christmas at Liseberg. “Halloween’s success in recent years shows that our
idea that guests are attracted to new concepts, seasons and attractions holds. This creates stability for the business and makes Liseberg less weather dependent,” said Andersen. Liseberg’s contribution to Gothenberg’s tourist
economy in 2019 amounted to an estimated SEK 3,500 million, an increase of 3 percent over 2018.
