A
lthough a fundamental skill, touch typing is frequently overlooked. However in today's
world of computers and technology, with an ever increasing percentage of coursework and assignments having to be presented in typed format, the need to equip students with the 'life skill' of touch typing in order to prepare them for further education, the working environment and life, has never been more essential. KAZ Type have been successfully servicing the
education sector, teaching touch typing skills for the past 20 years and are thrilled, as their inclusive typing software has been recognised and has just been shortlisted as a BETT Awards Finalist 2019. The edition is suitable for both mainstream
students and students with one or a combination of the following neurological differences: Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, ASD, Tourette's, amongst others. Developed with advice and guidance from the
Dyslexia Research Trust, it teaches typing skills whilst minimising disturbances related to visual stress by means of a unique 'Preference Screen' – offering the user a selection of preferences to choose from, tailor making the course to their needs for maximum visibility comfort.
Unlike other typing tutors based on repetitive
exercises and distracting and time consuming games, KAZ's unique and proven accelerating learning teaching method incorporates both 'muscle memory' and 'brain balance', engaging the major senses of sight, sound and touch simultaneously, radically enhancing memory retention and recall - which is why it is so effective. Using specific combinations and progressions of just 11 words in 5 easily memorised, scientifically structured and trademarked phrases, the method trains the fingers on both hands to work symmetrically and simultaneously. No other typing tutor works in this way.
ACCELERATED LEARNING is the most advanced teaching and learning method. It is a 'total system' for speeding up and enhancing both the design and learning process. Based on research, it has been proven time and again to increase learning effectiveness. The product is suitable for ages 6+ and is
