Luckily we have ICE on the horizon as a place to meet, discuss, catch up and disseminate the last couple of years, to take stock and look to the future. So much to come, not least the UK’s Gambling Act review, which if you’re reading this in Casino International, is assessed by our columnist Melanie Ellis. It’s well worth a read as Mel is usually correct, or very close.
What else is happening? As usual it’s everything, everywhere, all at once. More Ontario licences are announced every day it seems, and it’s going to be really something to see how that goes in the fi rst quarter. Such potential, and it seems that regulators have got so much right to begin with; it could be the gold standard for regulation for the industry moving forward. But who knows? As ever, we have to wait and see.
