PERU La Dirección General de Juegos de Perú tiene nuevo titular
El Ministerio de Comercio Exterior y Turismo (Mincetur) de Perú, notifi co el nombramiento de Eduardo Alfonso Sevilla Echevarría como titular de la Dirección General de Juegos de Casinos y Máquinas Tragamonedas (DGJCMT) del Viceministerio de Turismo, reemplazo del Ing. Manuel San Román Benavente. San Román estuvo al frente de la institución
desde 2015 en uno de los períodos más desafi antes para la industria peruana, logrando la formalización de los negocios de la industria del juego peruana, que se vio fuertemente afectada por la pandemia en los últimos dos años. El nuevo director general de la DGJCMT se
desempeñó recientemente como gerente general de la Cámara Nacional de Turismo (CANATUR) de Perú, y cuenta con experiencia en distintos sectores del Gobierno, habiendo sido superintendente Nacional de Migraciones por más de dos años, además de haber ocupado varios cargos relacionados con el Turismo en Mincetur.

PERU Government names a new Chief regulator
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) of Peru, formalized the appointment of Eduardo Alfonso Sevilla Echevarria as Chief of the country’s regulator, Dirección General de Juegos de Casinos y Máquinas Tragamonedas (DGJCMT) under the Vice Ministry of Tourism, in replacement of Manuel San Román Benavente. San Román was at the head of Peru’s regulators
since 2015 in one of the most challenging periods for the Peruvian gaming industry. He led the formalization of casinos and slots machine businesses, which have been strongly affected by the pandemic over the last two years. The new Chief at the DGJCMT recently served
as general manager of Peru’s National Chamber of Tourism (CANATUR) and has vast experience in different sectors of the Government having
served as National Superintendent of Migrations for more than two years. Additionally, senor Sevilla Echevarria has also held several other positions in Mincetur in tourism.
