minerva® solid surfaces for bathroom vanities and wall panels W

ith 35 years of experience in the manufacture and supply of solid

surface worksurfaces for the kitchen, Sylmar Technology has been well-placed to bring to market solid surface vanities and wall panelling for the bathroom. Indeed, Peter JR Holt, Managing Director of

Sylmar Technology reflects on the changes and innovations he has seen over the last 3 decades. “As a young 21-year-old, I joined the Spring Ram Corporation in sales and since then I have not looked back. The kitchen and bathroom market has been my home and over the years I have seen many changes and innovations. However, nothing is more exciting for solid surface than what we are seeing now which is the growth of the high-end bathroom market. Bathrooms and washrooms are no longer purely functional. Homeowners are looking for luxury by combining traditional or contemporary sanitaryware with the growing trend

for bathroom furniture, innovative lighting and statement accessories. Solid surface vanities and wall panels can offer an

unrivalled choice to tiling and other bathroom surfaces. From my own experience, tiles and grout look amazing when brand new, but over time grout can discolour thus requiring more rigorous cleaning. By comparison, a shower enclosure in my own home fitted with minerva wall panels remains easy to clean, non-porous and stain resistant. In fact, I would struggle to find any objection as to why a homeowner would not want to use solid surface in their bathroom.” minerva solid surface vanities are available in 18

décors with thicknesses of both 12mm and 25mm. In many cases, white solid surface undermounted bowls can be supplied factory fitted for a seamless finish. minerva solid surface wall panels are available in

8 décors with a thickness of 6mm apart from minerva Calcutta White which is currently available as 12mm thick sheets. minerva wall panels can be glued to an existing

drywall. The panelling system provides a seamless finish without the mess of grouting. Alternatively, minerva wall panels can be installed directly over the top of existing tiling, saving both time and money. Thinking outside of the box, whilst the use of

minerva solid surfaces look stunning in the kitchen and bathroom, have you ever considered their use as a feature wall for a hallway, lounge or study? A number of the minerva décors complement the latest colour trends such as white, pink, green, blue, grey, natural earthy tones and natural light wood. All minerva solid surface are available through

our partners in distribution and retail. Please contact Sylmar Technology to find out what minerva can do for you.
