2020 – Supporting the Industry That Supports You W
hen selling a product, your primary consideration needs to be how that
product will solve a problem. But what do you do when you recognise a problem outside of your product portfolio? Over the last 7-10 years, the role of a salesperson and designer has merged; the issue this presents is that these roles require entirely different skill sets. Studies show that individuals who have received
sales training have a higher quote conversion rate and offer a better level of service. We have therefore partnered with Simon Acres Group, a training specialist and consultancy organisation, to deliver industry-specific sales training material to kitchen and bathroom retailers. This training focuses on the core fundamentals required to become a successful salesperson. We have made the courses easily accessible and flexible to watch on-demand. We are confident it will significantly benefit retailers and help them improve their skills during the customer journey and increase their sales conversion rates.
Lastly, we recognise that small showrooms
evolve in an uncertain and volatile market. Retailers have had a severe impact on their cash flow, Brexit causing the fluctuating cost of products. To counteract that, we are the only software provider offering a 12-month based contract, including all of our innovations such as virtual reality (VR) using the HTC Vive headset, live design share, and so much more. Our pricing demonstrates our support to the market as we are the most cost-effective solution available for the KBB industry and, in some instances, 50% more cost-efficient than our competition. Longer-term contracts would benefit us as an organization, but our goal is to empower and support the industry that supports us.
Boobier’s Resolution Chair is now featured in 2020 Fusion Live. The other issue we are facing in the KBB
industry is a lack of interest from the younger generation across all segments, including installation, manufacturing, and design. For this reason, we invest in the next generation by encouraging future manufacturers and designers like Joseph Boobier, a 3D design graduate from Manchester School of Art. Boobier designed the Resolution Chair, a visual and interactive back-to-back chair inspired by political conflicts. His innovative chair is now featured in 2020 Fusion Live, and retailers are encouraged to use it. We are happy that by supporting him as well as many others, we are playing a part in developing future generations of designers and furniture makers and inspiring excellence in design and manufacturing.
