WELLNESS & HYDROTHERAPY

Bringing wellness to any bathroom H

as the lockdown of recent months made you spend more time

focussing on your health, both mental and physical? One growing consumer trend that was already notable in early 2020 that benefits the planet, as well as our mental well-being, is ‘slow living’. As time becomes an ever-increasing

commodity, services and technologies are coming to market that help us cope with the fast pace of life – and escape from the demands on our personal time. Research shows people are willing to invest in products that allow us the time and space we need to relax and break away from our busy routines. A new report by Vouchercodes demonstrates how 78% of millennials now take part in ‘JOMO’ (the Joy of Missing Out), choosing to spend time alone rather than go out socialising. Ageless Design is also a big influence in 2020

and the trend is growing inline with the ageing population and the increase in multi-generational

living. Since 2012, the proportion of working-age adults with a disability has risen from 16% to 19%, and the proportion of all people with a disability is 22% - a figure that continues to grow. Whilst bathroom design is important, bringing an element of ‘wellness’ to the space can offer so many positive benefits for all the family; it should most certainly be a consideration. As everyone already knows, baths provide a

relaxing space for you to lie back and unwind but extra relaxation can come from adding a spa or whirlpool option to your bath, bringing hydrotherapy to the home. Hydrotherapy is a proven therapeutic method of using water to relieve stress and tension and a bathroom can very easily be turned into a specific ‘wellness' space. There are so many great options that can be added to the majority of standard baths, it's always worth discussing what the family bathroom is actually used for but more importantly what people would like it to be used for; we all want to relax and rewind more, don’t we?!"

Trojan’s Aquair Spa and Whirlpool Baths T

hroughout their 40 years in manufacturing, Trojan have come to

understand the importance of both physical and mental well-being and therefore developed Aquair; their range of luxurious spa and whirlpool baths. Like all Trojan products, Aquair offers the same outstanding quality you would expect from Trojan, but with the relaxing features of a spa experience. With many people now lacking the time to put themselves first, at Trojan we believe our Aquair baths are a must in any bathroom. According to

research, hydrotherapy is one of the oldest and safest ways to treat aches and pains, as well as helping to relieve tension and anxiety. When soaking in a bath, the warm water helps blood vessels expand and also improves circulation by increasing the flow of blood to tissues around the body. Not only this, but the body is proven to be up to 90% lighter in water, meaning less stress on your joints and muscles. Trojan have recognised that when relaxing in

an ordinary bath, the water hugs your body, however, will eventually cool to your temperature. With Trojan’s Aquair spa and whirlpool baths, water is constantly moving,

allowing your body to relax for longer and re- energise. Trojan’s use of powerful jets produce a variety of massages, from relaxing, to a sports hydro-massage. Take a look for yourself at https://trojan- baths.co.uk/aquair/
