Battle of the bathrooms with Geberit W
ho said bathrooms had to be boring? Swiss bathroom designer,
Geberit, is on a mission to transform the country's cloakrooms, washrooms and en- suites from boring and beige to bright and beautiful. They've teamed up with interiors experts, TV
presenter Sophie Robinson and best-selling author and journalist Kate Watson-Smyth, to show homeowners how they can get creative in their space!
The home design heavyweights have been
challenged to stamp their own signature spin on a Geberit bathroom in a bid to inspire and encourage homeowners to inject personality into their own family washrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms.
Using the same ceramics and furniture -
Geberit's sleek Acanto bathroom collection in black, state-of-the-art AquaClean Mera shower toilet and luxury flush plates - the interior specialists have gone head to head to create their own striking space.
Renown for her colour revolution ethos, Sophie
has created a "Colour Pop" bathroom, using contrasting colours like cobalt blue, pastel pink and sunshine yellow to create a real wow-factor. These bold colours are complemented with a striking chequered floor and playful wallpaper, tying the look together with the black and white of the Geberit furniture and ceramics. Sophie injects even more personality to the space with fun finishing touches - think funky plant pots, textured rugs and interesting ornaments on shelves.
Kate has transformed the same space into a
dreamy "Pretty in Pink (and Yellow)" haven, using an eclectic mix of soft shapes and vintage accessories set against a pastel palette. Rounded mirrors and scallop shapes throughout the room help soften the hard surfaces and straight lines of most bathrooms. A combination of upcycled accessories and unusual artwork bring texture and character to the space, from rustic wooden stools, glass jars of potpourri and even an old school radio. And don't forget those houseplants to help bring the outdoors in. The campaign follows Geberit's sponsorship of
the Great Indoors podcast, the one-stop show for interior inspiration and feel-good chat fronted by the interior experts, which sees Kate and Sophie discuss, debate and guide listeners through top trends and hot topics. Feeling inspired? Find more bathroom inspiration on Geberit’s website.
