Franke UK has launched the premium Mythos 2gether Slide hob extractor with a patented automatic vent opening, the only one of its kind on the market
D
esigned and manufactured by Franke alongside its Air Expert
Faber, the Mythos 2gether Slide sits at the pinnacle of Franke’s hob extractor portfolio and is one of six new models launching this year. Offering retailers greater flexibility when specifying integrated extraction, it combines architectural design with powerful performance for contemporary kitchens.
Winner of the prestigious Red Dot Design
Award 2026, the Mythos 2gether Slide combines a four-zone induction hob with an integrated extractor, eliminating the need for a traditional overhead hood. This makes it particularly suited to open-plan kitchens, islands and multifunctional living spaces. A key innovation is Franke’s patented automatic
vent opening system. When extraction is required, the central vent opens automatically to reveal the
extraction zone, then closes neatly when not in use. This hands-free functionality maintains the hob’s clean, minimalist aesthetic. The 83cm hob features a premium matt black,
low-reflection glass surface designed to reduce the appearance of fingerprints and everyday marks, while offering enhanced scratch resistance. Four induction zones include dual Flexi zones for larger cookware, with independent touch multi-slider controls for precise adjustment of cooking and extraction settings. Ghost Effect white LED controls remain discreetly hidden when switched off. “By combining intelligent engineering with
thoughtful design, the Mythos 2gether Slide makes everyday cooking simpler while delivering the seamless aesthetics and performance today’s kitchens demand,” says Amie Gee, Marketing Manager at Franke UK.
