Mapei introduces eight new UltraCare surface protectors
Mapei has extended its UltraCare range with the introduction of eight new products dedicated to floor, tile and surface protection. The new treatments join nine existing UltraCare cleaning products, launched last year.
Formulated in the Mapei Research Laboratories, Mapei’s UltraCare cleaners and protectors are aimed at both
professionals and DIY enthusiasts and offer simplified application combined with high performance. The new
protectors meet a variety of specific
requirements: from colour enhancing and providing water and oil-repellent protection for surfaces including natural and artificial stone, cement, terrazzo, to the protection
of tiles prior to grouting and of polished porcelain tiles with cementitious grout joints. All treatments provide a
safe and easy-to-use solution for new and existing surfaces and do not need to be diluted when applied on dry or slightly damp (depending on the type of product) and clean materials. They can be applied with a brush, cloth or fleece applicator.

Ca’Pietra – Sequel, serious about sustainability
Comprised of 60% recycled material, Sequel is produced in a small, carbon neutral factory in Italy, where the environment comes first. Sequel is made using waste material that would otherwise be disposed of by the stone industry, from powder to chips of marble, granite, and limestone. Sequel is suitable for walls and floors, both indoors and out, and requires sealing. The versatility of Sequel means that it can look both gentle and natural, or contemporary and bold.
Not only does Sequel bring style, but it brings sustainability too.

Verona’s new Clay tile combines classic style with modern design A
refreshing twist on a classic look, the new Clay range from Verona puts a vintage spin on the metro tile, giving it a unique, handmade feel.
With Metro tiles an enduringly popular choice for creating an eye-catching feature wall, Clay features a familiar rectangular format but comes in a slightly smaller size which adds subtle rustic charm. At 65 x 130mm, this ceramic tile collection is the height of versatility thanks to its compact shape and striking colour palette. The
collection comes in three trend led shades, including Green, Blue and Dark Grey – contemporary tones with an earthy feel – and Cotton, an off-white neutral.
A key part of any retailer’s product offering, Metro tiles provide unrivalled longevity, and will continue to be strong seller for decades to come, particularly for tiling splashbacks, utility rooms and wetrooms.
Laura Hardaker-Graham, marketing manager at Verona, explains: ‘We’ve really diversified our
small format collection recently, and while we’ve introduced eclectic shapes, we wanted to make sure we were developing our metro offering as this style is a proven bestseller year on year. It truly is a futureproof design.
