BRASSWARE & ACCESSORIES

Tapping into brassware and accessory trends to maximise sales

athroom brassware sales and development are being influenced by several factors. There is no escaping the legacy of the pandemic, which of course saw a heightened importance of handwashing and good hygiene. This has resulted in the growth of sensor and touchless technology for the domestic market, for example, which had previously largely been the domain of commercial applications.

Alongside this, the bathroom has increasingly become seen as a sanctuary, and a room in which to escape the stress of day-to-day life. Health and wellness have been given new focus since the events of 2020 and this too has had an impact on the market for designer and luxury brassware fittings and matching accessories. Here, we are seeing a growing market for fashion-led brassware finishes, as consumers recognise the difference that such an investment

can make. From matt black to brushed brass, this trend highlights the consumer focus on creating a home spa experience and the continuing shift from classic chrome to a contemporary coloured alternative.

This meets the trend for personalisation, which provides consumers with a wide array of finishes, not only on brassware but accessories too, with homeowners now eager to match up for a cohesive look. This in turn is helping independent kbb retailers increase their sales of accessories and integrate this product sector into the early planning stages of their designs.

Complete brassware and accessory packages are becoming much more the norm, offering value in price and convenience to the consumer that retailers can capitalise on, creating a seamless, well-designed aesthetic while maximising sales. Operationally and stylistically, brassware and accessories play a pivotal role in bathroom design and therefore in bathroom sales as a whole.

RAK-Petit is big on style and function G

uaranteeing that the brassware will be a centrepiece of the bathroom, the RAK-Petit Round and RAK-Petit Square collections from RAK Ceramics are elegantly modern.
