athroom storage has been around for many years in different forms, from baskets to towel holders and DIY built furniture or units. However, more recently bathrooms have seen the development of upcycling and design led bathroom storage designs. Upcycling is great and cost effective for those with skills to repurpose an old chest of drawers into a washbasin stand or take an existing piece of furniture, paint it, and turn it into shelving or cupboards, but for those who see that as too much of a challenge, there are a huge amount of ready-made options available to choose from.

Size matters when considering smart storage for a bathroom, so plan your space carefully and choose storage solutions which will hide away those toiletries and unsightly plumbing whilst not overcrowding the area you have available.
By far the best option to maximise space is using wall hung basin units, WCs and storage units. This is where Modular furniture works well. Keeping the floor space clear or using narrow units and enhancing with feature mirrors, lighting and décor can make even the smallest space appear larger and more inviting.
However, if you want to create smooth lines and completely hide all those unsightly plumbing pipes, then there is nothing better than fitted furniture. Using co-ordinating units, shower trays, wall panels, panoramic mirrors, pelmet lighting and bath panels, you can create a seamless finish. This might need a little more planning and might even be a little more expensive than using modular units, but it is well worth the effort.
