Full service to resume as Caple reopens for business
Leading UK bathroom distributor, Ideal Bathrooms, will resume trading on Monday May 4th.
Kitchen appliance, furniture and sink & tap specialist Caple is delighted to announce they will be resuming full service from Monday 4th May. The move comes as high street shops throughout the UK are currently preparing ways in which they can safely open. Many national house builders have already announced their plans to return to work this month.* (*source: BBC News). Caple’s managing director Danny Lay explains:
“The safety of our employees and customers is paramount during this time. So, we have been working hard behind the scenes, to put special measures in place, which will enhance health and safety for all. We want to reassure our customers, from house builders and kitchen retailers to architects and designers, that you can gain full access to our entire portfolio of kitchen furniture, appliances, sinks and taps from Monday. We are in a very good position to meet the needs of every customer as we have plenty of available stock.” For customers, all lines of communication will
be open and delivery services will be reinstated as the company works tirelessly to ensure they continue to offer their renowned high standard of service to every valued customer.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all employees and clients, the company has introduced extensive measures to adhere to the government’s social distancing guidelines. The changes include limiting the workforce on site, the creation of designated one- way routes in all warehouses and offices, the introduction of sanitiser stations and provision of PPE where necessary. Danielle Lillis, Ideal Bathrooms’ Commercial Director, said: “Since hitting pause on March 27th we have been closely monitoring the ever- changing situation and following government advice we have been able to make an informed decision as to when it was right for Ideal Bathrooms to begin trading again. “Our sector plays a vital role in stimulating the economy and we recognise that many merchants and retailers are now increasing their activity levels and so we are pleased to once again open our doors and support our customers.

Online ordering now open at Abode
While consumers are unable to hit the shops, Abode has temporarily adapted its website to make online ordering simple direct from the manufacturer. With a wide range of stylish kitchen taps and sinks available, alongside an enviable range of bathroom brassware, home improvement DIY projects can progress in earnest. Among the products available for immediate dispatch
are a variety of pull-around spray mixer taps, such as the new Abode Tubist (pictured). Making a professional impression in the contemporary or classic setting, pull-around spray mixers are ideal for washing vegetables and fruit straight from the supermarket shelves and for keeping the kitchen hygienically clean, something that has never been more important than during the pandemic. The Abode website has full details of each product available, including installation and care instructions,
pricing and shipment. In order to ensure the Abode team can work in complete safety and in adherence to Government guidelines regarding social distancing, orders are currently being dispatched on a weekly basis, with delivery within seven days of orders being placed.
Enabling customer orders to be fulfilled and kitchen and bathroom projects to be completed, I am pleased to be able to announce that RAK Ceramics has made changes to its warehouse and delivery system and is now fully operational. Operating a 48-hour turnaround
on all orders wherever possible, the manufacturer is making its full range of products available on as short a turnaround as possible, while adhering to strict social distancing guidelines to protect staff and customers and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
RAK Ceramics fully operational with social distancing protocols in place “It is crucial that we put
appropriate social distancing measures in place before we were able to resume operations on anywhere near a normal level and our staff have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks, under difficult circumstances, to make this happen. While our normal 24-hour delivery service is not possible at the moment, we are able to offer a 48- hour extended service. Social distancing measures have been implemented in our warehouse, with shift pattern changes put in place to help keep everyone safe and our
operations as close to normal as possible,” said Alvin Biggs, Managing Director/ Vice President Europe. “We have also made changes to
our delivery protocols, with our drivers following strict social distancing guidelines too. Finally, our sales and accounts teams are continuing to work from home and are fully contactable by email.” “I would like to thank all our customers for their continued understanding and patience during this time as we work out the best ways to get through this together.”
