Manufacturers supporting charities


Although we make baths and bathroom products, as an industry we are in a position where we can make a real positive impact on the lives of many by working closely with various charities and doing what we can to support them. There are many benefits to


supporting a charity for a business and we continue to support a small, local charity in Huddersfield called Ruddi’s Retreat, after we came into contact with the founder at an event 8 years ago. While studies have shown

Millennials are 70% more likely to spend more on brands that that support good causes, internally it can boost staff morale to know that they work for a business that helps support others too. Other benefits to supporting charities for a manufacturer include: 1. Helps with brand positioning, establishing the business as both reliable and ethical. Finding a charity that aligns with your brand values is crucial, Ruddi’s is very family focussed and that is us too.

People ARE Your Greatest Asset


If the COVID pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that the health and wellbeing of employees is not only important, but pivotal to the success of any business and should be made a central component of day-to-day operations. Whilst many initiatives require commitment and investment, health and wellbeing don’t have to break the


bank, as it is often the smaller, more thoughtful actions that are appreciated the most and pay the company back many times over. Some example initiatives include giving employees a day off for their birthday, ‘cycle to work’ schemes and


private healthcare, but of course, efforts can go beyond this to include social meet-ups or just talking and rewarding staff on a regular basis. There should also be mechanisms in place for employees to feedback on initiatives, so surveys and employee forums are essential – allowing people the opportunity to make suggestions on areas they also feel will support mental health and wellbeing. Gone are the days of ‘business first’, replaced by a much more holistic approach that sacrifices nothing off the


bottom line. In fact, embedding health and wellbeing into operations can actually make you much more productive, innovative, happier and even where it matters most – more profitable.
