Franke’s new AQ Sense smart hoods range
Franke has launched its first smart cooker hood with the new AQ Sense range. Designed to keep the air clean around the home, the hoods feature unique Air Quality Sensor technology which constantly monitors VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), air temperature and humidity. AQ Sense hoods
activate automatically when unsafe levels are detected to filter out VOCs and restore fresh air. Users can stay in control of up-to-date air quality information via the dedicated Franke Cloud app which also allows them to easily control many of the hood’s functions via a smartphone or tablet. They can also be controlled using voice commands via Amazon Alexa. Pictured is the premium model in the range, the AQ Sense Monitor
model with an integrated 21.5” monitor and built-in web browser, camera connection and a 24-hour ventilation option. Measuring 80cm in width, it offers easy-to-use touch controls, LED lights and three speeds plus an intensive setting. Suitable for recirculating or ducted extraction, it has an Energy Efficiency Class A rating and a two- year warranty.

Updated Durasein solid surface range from IDS
Surface materials specialist distributor IDS has strengthened its partnership with world- class acrylic solid surface manufacturer Durasein® and launched a newly updated range of designs and cast sinks and bowls. The range is strategically aimed at offering KBB retailers, fabricators and manufacturers a solid surface offering that combines on-point design and accessible pricing, together with ex-stock availability of the entire range. 20 new designs have
been added to its premium range of Durasein® solid surface range which offers a total of 60 décors and a choice of 17 high quality moulded sinks and bowls for the KBB sector. Häfele creates video tip series to maxx-imise AluSplash H
äfele UK has created a video series of installation tips for AluSplash,
the market-leading aluminium-based splashback. Available on the Häfele UK YouTube channel,
the short practical videos cover topics from how to achieve a clean panel cut, to advice on folding around corners for a seamless run of colour and finish, even behind gas hobs. While AluSplash is already up to three times faster to fit than tiles and can be installed using
readily available tools, Häfele UK has created the series of ten videos with tips and tricks to make the installation process even quicker. Alongside installation advice, the series includes
a video on panel maintenance and cleaning techniques for the perfect finish.
