mbracing this year’s theme, the programme for the annual day- long Bathroom and Kitchen Industry Business Conference has seen some subtle changes.


The conference, on Tuesday 17 October 2017 at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield, will host its biggest line up of speakers in its 11 year history. No less than 13 experts have been engaged to discuss the important changes which the industry is facing.


One of the sessions, this year, has been dedicated to a new Industry Forum, a discussion focussing on the topics which are foremost in the minds of industry leaders.


Chairing the session will be well-known journalist and editor ANDREW DAVIES who has promised to motivate the panel into a “memorable, forthright and sometimes controversial discussion” embracing those issues which confront the industry, from manufacturing right through to retail sales. Starting the discussion will be subject of compliant products and the law.


The panel includes


• STEPHEN KAY Chairman of WRAS. Stephen is a chartered civil engineer and has been involved in local water supply for over 40 years. • PETER ADKINS Solicitor. Peter is well versed in the difficulties of the sector and is a regular contributor to the trade press. • DR PETER BONFIELD OBE Author of the Bonfield Report and CEO of BRE. Peter has led major initiatives in the areas of new build and existing housing, as well as in commercial and public sector buildings. • PAUL MASSEY, President of the BMA and Group CEO of Worcestershire-based inclusive bathroom products manufacturer, AKW and DLP Group.


Planning for the conference is well advanced and booking for both the full two days and for day-only passes is already strong.

Stax Trade Centres annual Big Brands Trade Show announced for 2017


The first stop for this year’s show is the Glasgow branch on Wednesday 27th September, then it’s on to Manchester for Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th October.
