Cupboard Love
Walk-in pantries have become a highly sought-after kitchen feature as homeowners look to create stylish, practical and super-organised storage spaces that can be cleverly concealed behind closed doors. Available in a variety of configurations, walk-in pantries and breakfast cupboards offer versatile storage options as well as room for a compact appliance such as a coffee machine, which make them an appealing proposition.
Homeowners and designers are thinking smarter about how to make the most out of space and we’re now seeing a big trend for kitchens that provide more usable storage. Whether that be floor-to-ceiling cabinets or strategically placed wall units that maximise the height of the ceiling, it’s all about getting more out of what you already have.
We’re also finding that the devil really is in the detail as consumers
increasingly look to bring style and personalisation to their kitchens in 2025. It’s putting kitchen hardware in the spotlight as a mix-and-match approach is
embraced to create tailored kitchen designs. At the same time, consumers are swapping clinical cabinetry for

characterful kitchens and are increasingly combining colours to create eye-catching designs.
CE Marking – What to ask for
The CE/UKCA Mark is often talked about but rarely explained for such important UK legislation.
Manufacturers have responsibility to ensure their products conform to the Standard, but the retailer has the legal responsibility to ensure the products they stock conform. There are still many non-compliant products out there and there are huge consequences for the retailer selling these products. The law applies to the final reseller – not the manufacturer / importer. Large fines can be the ultimate result for knowingly selling non- conforming products, so it is strongly urged that retailers ask the right questions around CE/UKCA marking to all their suppliers.
To check whether the legitimacy of a CE/UKCA Mark on a product is relatively straightforward as Manufacturers or suppliers must make the Declaration of Performance available to their customers, therefore making it available for everyone to see.
There are four main pillars to ensure all products conform – an endurance test; a water retention test; a structural stability test; and product traceability for 10 years.

Bathrooms Trends in 2025
At SONAS we have identified five transformative bathroom trends we predict for the year ahead: selfness, minimalist organic design, the allure of green tones, tactile textures, and water conservation. Each trend reflects the evolving priorities of homeowners seeking style, functionality, and sustainability.
We are particularly excited by the rise of selfness – the concept of turning bathrooms into personal sanctuaries. With our innovative new air jet systems in freestanding baths, homeowners can recreate a spa-like atmosphere at home, blending luxury with tranquillity. This concept goes beyond design, encouraging a focus on mental well-being and relaxation. By pairing selfness with thoughtful design choices – such as ambient lighting, calming tones, and sustainable features – you can craft a space that serves as a retreat from the everyday hustle. Bathrooms in 2025 can be more than functional spaces; and instead be restorative havens that enhance your life.
