INDUSTRY UPDATE THE IPG Supporting Independents

The IPG – Staying Ahead in Plumbing and Bathroom Technology

recently spent a long weekend at the Bowie House, a unique rental property that pays tribute to the legendary David Bowie. I was struck by more than just the music and memorabilia. The property’s impressive integration of smart technology served as an undeniable reminder of the future of home automation, particularly in the bathroom sector. The home was a perfect example of how automation is changing the way we live. Each room featured user-friendly keypads, while a central touchscreen panel in the lounge allowed effortless control of heating, lighting, and bathroom amenities. The smooth integration of technology into daily life was truly remarkable.

Waterline promotes Dan Baker to Southern National Sales Manager

In today’s fast-paced world, keeping up with the latest advancements is crucial for staying ahead in our sector. Innovations such as smart showers with pre-set temperatures, self-cleaning toilets, voice-activated mirrors, and smart faucets are revolutionising how we use our bathrooms. Leak-detection sensors and water-saving features not only enhance convenience but also promote sustainability by reducing waste and conserving energy.

Investing in smart technology is no longer just an option—it’s essential for staying competitive. The bathroom is one area where these advancements are most noticeable, providing solutions that save time, money, and resources.

Looking ahead, it’s clear that smart technology will continue to evolve and shape the way we interact with our homes. What’s new today will soon be standard, and embracing these changes is key to remaining relevant.
