Versatile shower drain solution
The Fundo Flex itself is a versatile channel drain solution for shower floors. It can be installed on its own in screed with membrane or liquid waterproofing applied over the surrounding floor, or it can be installed on both in and on concrete as well as timber floors with complementary sloping boards.
The main reason why it is so adaptable lies in its customisable channel element and profile; both can be easily cut to size on site, hence can be adjusted to fit any shower. The 360° rotatability of the channel profile facilitates precise alignment, and with the help of the included eccentric, the shower channel can be placed at the required angle and distance from the wall.
Unique shower system
One of, if not the most important detail of flush-to-floor showers is the even, precise gradient that ensures adequate water drainage. However, not only this requires meticulous planning and precise execution, but it also needs to be primed then sealed (with a potential requirement for multiple coats) adding to the labour and time required for installation.
To provide a solution that can be configured to fit any requirement whilst offering the wedi renowned level of safety and waterproofing, a lot of emphasis was placed on product design during development. The Fundo Flex channel element was engineered with a step-fold on both sides and complementary sloping boards, with and without step-fold were also developed to aid precise, easy and fast installation in/on both timber and concrete floors.
100% waterproof and directly tileable, the complementary sloping boards turn the Fundo Flex into a unique, flexible shower system.
An entirely new level of adaptability The components are designed to fit securely together in a layout that is best suited for the available space, just like Lego. The different pieces can be easily cut and arranged, including the channel element and the profile. Bonus: it is

entirely up to the client at which position to place the drainage!
Whether along the short or long wall, the channel can be installed virtually anywhere - close to the wall, in the centre or anywhere in between. As an entirely new concept to modern shower design, the newest wedi innovation flexibly adapts to make anything possible.
Remarkable design and odour-free living Anyone who decides on a flush-to-floor shower with linear drainage also wants a high-quality look, so purist design was also taken into account. The only visible part of the new shower solution, the channel profile, is incredibly narrow - just 35 mm wide!
Hygiene is also ensured: thanks to its special contour without any edges inside, and the integrated odour trap, the drain body is almost self-cleaning. What’s more, included with the channel profile, the removable trap catches hair and other debris making the cleaning effortless. With over 40 years of industry expertise, wedi continues set the standard for waterproofing whilst providing flexibility in design.
