Editor’s Letter B
reaking records for attendance, Sign & Digital UK’s co-location with Printwear & Promotion LIVE! saw over two thousand more people attending the exhibition. My own impression at SDUK, talking with many
of the exhibitors and visitors is that this resurgence has been a breath of fresh air in what had been a stagnating enterprise.
With the emergence of a crowd that might not have otherwise visited SDUK, the stars of the exhibition were many of the entry level models that offered prospective businesses a chance to expand their horizons without breaking the bank. Whilst serious print industry machines will always steal the headlines with the new technology and amazing abilities, it is the entry-level models that will attract a larger audience looking to venture into the signage industry.
As I said a fond farewell to Martin Hinchliffe, my friend and mentor, I had the pleasure of welcoming fresh blood within the magazine. Alissia Cliffton, Publication Manager, will be taking charge of the advertising for Sign Update.
Kindest regards,
Jordan O’Boyle Editor
