Editor’s Letter BURSTING FROM THE SEAMS

It is a weird feeling driving to and from the office with the sun still high in the sky, especially after months of travelling in perpetual darkness. The weather has also seemed to fi nally let up, with the

rain clouds departing after literally months of downpour. Things are starting to look brighter, warmer, and better, and that is defi nitely the case with us at Image Reports. This issue is a complete array of engaging and insightful

features, including the long-standing favourites as well as some budding new pieces that can help readers tap into new markets. Much like our newly serialised diversifi cation feature, where we take a dive into industries that make use of wide-format printers outside the traditional means. In this issue, assistant editor Ana Lambert looked at

packaging, speaking to Fujifi lm, Kongsberg and other names within the industry to fi nd out how you could be tapping into this market, if you’re not already. The discussion can be found on page 22. Ana was busy the last couple of months as she also

took the trip to the Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey for the Spandex Summit. She spoke with exhibitors and visitors alike about the gathering and witnessed all that was to be seen. If you weren’t able to make it yourself, she has put together a comprehensive round-up which can be read on page 18. Inside, you will also fi nd a preview of the upcoming FESPA, which will take place in Barcelona, as well as our review of this year’s Sign & Digital UK, found on pages 12 and 14 respectively. Honestly, there is so much content in this issue, with some not even highlighted, and we even have desires to build on the features, so please watch this space. For now, though, enjoy this April/May edition, and as

always, if you or anyone you know has anything to sing about in the world of wide-format printing, please do get in touch.
