NEW PRODUCTS SOLAR POWER

Solar inverter now with power back-up

AIR-TO-AIR HEAT PUMP Designed for crowded environments

CLIVET has introduced the CLIVETPack3i CSNX-iY rooftop air-to-air heat pump with inverter technology, a specialised solution designed for highly crowded environments such as cinemas, restaurants, and auditoriums. The new line covers a nominal

capacity range from 40 to 120kW with air flow rates from 4,000 to 25,000 m3/h and offers the possibility of handling up to 100% outside air. The high-efficiency iFD ‘Intense

Field Dielectric’ electronic filters are said to ensure high air quality, removing airborne particles with ePM1 90% efficiency, including allergens, fine dust, bacteria and viruses. Pressure drops are described as being “very low”. The units use R32 refrigerant with low global warming potential (GWP). Clivet says this, combined with a reduction and optimisation of the refrigerant charge,

reduces the environmental impact by over 80%. They are equipped with a

double refrigeration circuit with inverter compressors and patented thermodynamic recovery technology, which improves operating conditions, power output, and overall efficiency. Other features include full inverter

technology, smart free cooling management, high renewal air flow management, extended operating range in heating, and advanced monitoring and management capabilities. Product manager Damiano Rossi

comments: “With this new project, Clivet strengthens its proposal on the rooftop market, offering a complete and extended range up to 350 kW and

60,000 m3/h air flow.” ■ www.clivetgroup.co.uk

Solar energy specialist FRONIUS has enhanced its GEN24 Plus hybrid inverter with a model which now features an integrated backup power function. In the event of a power failure, a load such as a mobile phone charger, or even a small circuit up to 3 kW, can be supplied with single-phase power via a separate, protected socket without any additional components being needed. This, says the company, represents an important step toward energy self- sufficiency. “With the Fronius GEN24, our

customers are less reliant on the public grid and also save a significant amount of money,” says Leonhard Peböck, product marketing solar energy at Fronius International GmbH. “Our inverter offers them the efficient solution of using the electricity from their own PV system. In times of volatile energy prices, this is a particular benefit of the GEN24.”

As a hybrid inverter, the tried-

and-tested Fronius GEN24 Plus combined with a battery enables excess, self-generated solar power to be stored and consumed even during low-sun (nighttime) hours, bringing 24 hours of sun into the home. Thanks to the additional Full Backup option, properties can still be reliably supplied with electricity in the event of a power

failure. ■ www.fronius.com/en-gb/uk

AIR DISTRIBUTION

Diffuser with a contemporary design

Said to offer a new dimension to the design of interior spaces, GILBERTS’ Series GA swirl diffuser features a contemporary face design intended to enhance the interior space, whether the diffuser is an integral part of an exposed building services strategy or inset into a suspended ceiling grid. Gilberts is offering one face plate design as standard, but can, with its in- house design, manufacturing and testing capability, produce bespoke variations of pattern and hole size (subject to order size).

The Series GA delivers high

volumes of air horizontally with rapid entrainment and mixing capability into the conditioned space – up to 60 L/s (GA Type A) or 170 L/s (GA Type B) – whether cooling, heating or ventilating. The plate sits in front of a radial pattern air distribution impeller core which can

be altered to achieve numerous swirl patterns depending on the space layout and occupancy below. “Series GA looks completely

different to anything else on the market,” says sales director Ian Rogers. “It enables all involved in the building services design to create a real visual impact that’s out of the ordinary and

unlike anything else available.” ■ www.gilbertsblackpool.com

HI-LINE INDUSTRIES has announced that its Tundra range of refrigerant air dryers is now available with R-513A, a refrigerant with zero ozone depleting potential (ODP). R-513A (Opteon XP10) refrigerant

is a hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) based replacement for R-134a. Suitable for use in medium and low temperature refrigeration products, R-513A offers 56% lower GWP (global warming potential), delivering long-term sustainability and F-gas legislation compliance.

Tundra’s energy-efficient characteristics is a patented single-cell heat exchanger, which delivers highly efficient heat transfer at low energy costs, and a link between the controller and condensate removal valve for minimum loss of compressed air during condensate discharge. This product recently gained

recognition at the iPlex Awards, in the ‘Energy Management Innovation’

category. ■ www.hilineindustries.com
