“Hi! In the time since we sent MCV/DEVELOP #985 off to the printer I’ve been spending a lot of time playing SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake. It’s a lot of fun, and feels like a streamlined evolution of the classic Battle for Bikini Bottom gameplay in ways I really like. I’ve also gotten back into DOTA2 recently, as I rather missed crushing my foes as characters like Axe and Dragon Knight.”


“Thanks to an innocuous tweet made some weeks ago, I appear to have won myself tickets to the EVE Fanfest in Iceland in September. I was a huge fan of the MMO it its early days, but I’ve barely touched the game in years. Of course, since I’m likely to be surrounded by a horde of space vikings in a few months, I’m acting to change that.”

“I went and got an Xbox Series X, so the world of current gen video games has finally opened up to me. To celebrate this momentous occasion, I’ve been using it to play an N64 game from 1997, GoldenEye 007. I’ve also been on Hi-Fi RUSH, Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol, so Marvel Snap hasn’t been getting much of a look in.”

Contrary to popular belief, Willow is not a relation to Warwick Davis or characters of a similar name. Rescued at the height of the pandemic in 2020, she likes chips, Dreamies and sitting in the freezing kitchen and obsessively staring at … nothing (probably ghosts). She was recently promoted to chief biscuit maker, following a previous stint as ‘Queen Zoomies’.

Molly is a lazy Lhasa Apso. She’s especially fond of belly rubs, toast, and bedtime biscuits (in exchange for shake-a-paw). She spent much of lockdown sitting on Scott’s knee whilst he was working from home and would occasionally pop up in cameo appearances on the Sumo team’s calls.

Parsnip Chicken lives with her sisters Sprout Chicken and Spinach Chicken. Life is pretty hectic, with all that egg laying, snack eating and selfie taking to do. It’s tough being a modern chicken. Living outside, Parsnip doesn’t get to interrupt many meetings, but she would if she could!
