WOMEN IN GAMES AWARDS Due to be hosted for the first time by Future Publishing community developer Stevie Ward, the ninth annual MCV/DEVELOP Women In Games Awards will be taking place early in March, with twelve awards up for grabs in categories such as education, HR, development, journalism and the always popular Rising Star. Once again more than 300 women were nominated by colleagues, with the winners due to be decided for the first time by those that were victorious the previous year

MARCH 1st

FORMAT LAUNCH PARTY Format calls itself the “UK’s leading games industry community nightlife event”, which isn’t too far from the truth. It’s like if our own IRL had an expo not just tacked onto the site, but in and amongst the high octane

networking. The next Manchester event is billed as the biggest yet, with games and socialising planned across three floors, prior to which there will be a VIP launch party for exhibitors and partner organisations. Taking place just up the road from MCV’s editorial team, you can be sure that we’ll be there in force.
