This March 20, 2024, as the global milling community gears up to celebrate World Flour Day under the theme “World Flour Day – Giving Day.” Spearheaded by the FlourWorld Museum in Wittenburg, which established this commemorative day in 2020, this year’s event aims to spotlight the social responsibility undertaken by millers worldwide, with a special focus on supporting underprivileged children through donation campaigns. Under the banner “Millers Addressing Social Needs,” mills across the globe are urged to participate actively. They’re encouraged to contribute flour to charitable organisations such as children’s aid foundations and orphanages. This Giving Day initiative not only provides tangible assistance but also sheds light on the invaluable contributions of millers to society. Every donation, regardless of size, makes a

meaningful impact. Leading by example, the FlourWorld Museum pledges to donate 500 kg of flour. Mills and millers worldwide are
invited to join this noble cause by
donating essential supplies to
orphanages and youth foundations. Together, their collective efforts aim to create a brighter world for all. The FlourWorld Museum will curate and showcase the myriad initiatives surrounding World Flour Day 2024. March 20,
2024, will mark the
commencement of these endeavours. The official website,
www.worldflourday. com, will feature a plethora of photos, videos, and anecdotes illustrating how the global milling community supports disadvantaged children. These activities will also be shared across social media platforms under the hashtag #worldflourday.
