Barry Callebaut appoints Thomas Gaengler as Chief Operating Officer


The Board of Directors has appointed Thomas Gaengler as Chief Operating Officer and member of the Executive Committee, effective September 1, 2026 succeeding Clemens Woehrle. Thomas Gaengler joins Barry Callebaut from Mondelez International and brings more than 30 years of international leadership experience across supply chain, procurement and operations. More recently, he served as SVP, End-to-End Supply Chain, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa (AMEA) where he worked closely with regional business units to drive alignment, strengthen collaboration and deliver impact. For the last four years, Thomas led Mondelez’ Procurement as Global Chief Procurement Officer. Thomas holds a master’s degree in chemical and food engineering from the Technical University Brno, Czech Republic.


Barchemy appoints Isaac Long as CEO


Chocolate and confectionery ingredients manufacturer Barchemy has appointed food industry executive Isaac Long as chief executive officer, with founder Larry Toscano moving into the role of chairman. Long will lead the


company’s growth strategy while overseeing investment in manufacturing capabilities, product development and customer relationships. He joins Barchemy from


Rise Baking Company, where he served as chief transformation officer, leading commercial transformation and strategic planning. Previously, Long was president of Table Talk Pies, where he delivered significant EBITDA growth before its acquisition by Rise Baking. He also worked as a project leader at Boston Consulting Group.

Oterra appoints Susanne Arfelt Rajamand as CEO


Natural colours and colour solutions producer Oterra has appointed Susanne Arfelt Rajamand as chief executive officer, effective October 12, 2026. Rajamand brings more


than 20 years of international leadership experience across the food, foodservice and consumer goods sectors. Her previous roles include senior positions at Unilever, McCormick & Company and Fonterra. Most recently, she served as Group CEO of Royal Greenland, where she led the international seafood business.
