ADVERTORIALS Weldcloud Fleet

A cloud-based digital application Helps service managers improve welding equipment uptime.

Newest Application in the suite of ESAB Digital Solutions, which includes WeldCloud Productivity for production managers and WeldCloud Notes for engineers and quality personnel. ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has introduced WeldCloud Fleet, a cloud-based application

designed to manage a fleet of welding equipment across one or multiple locations. Ideal for service and maintenance managers with larger fleets of welding equipment, WeldCloud Fleet keeps the fleet working at optimal productivity levels by enabling users to: • Manage welding jobs across a fleet of equipment. • Deliver support for planning, documenting and providing reminders for service, maintenance and calibration activities.

• View arc time per welding station. • Provide remote software upgrades to a welding fleet instead of manually configuring them. • Include GPS locations for welding equipment. • Prepare event logs for early detection and notification of equipment issues.

Nitrogen systems installed at University of Liverpool

Many projects have been completed by Thorite for UK universities, including installation of a series of compressor systems and nitrogen generators for new laboratories at the University of Liverpool. The University of Liverpool is leading pioneering

research into coronaviruses and antimicrobial resistance to antibiotics from their new Centre of Excellence for Infectious Diseases and Research building which they moved into in July 2020. Thorite had already completed similar installations at the University of Liverpool and had

worked closely with HPC, Parker, and University project managers. However, the Centre of Excellence was a major expansion to current facilities, and the new development required multiple nitrogen outlets for the research laboratories. These are used in liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and a range of analytical instruments.

A NEW generation of controllers has been introduced by AIRMASTER, CMC-owned embedded air compressor controls brand for OEMs.

AIRMASTER™ FIT has been designed to control small and medium-sized industrial equipment such as rotary screw, rotary vane and piston air compressors. FIT includes a 2.4-inch colour graphic display protected by a durable ABS plastic enclosure

and IP65-rated fascia protection. It is also MODBUS, command and control and IoT-ready, which means it can easily be integrated with any factory control system. Supplied with built-in 3-phase motor protection, current monitoring of both prime and fan

motors, as well as ample analogue inputs, relay outputs and digital inputs, AIRMASTER™ FIT is expected to be well received by OEMs looking for an advanced yet affordable controller capable of asset group control.

Turkish firm, Aykom Compressors has chosen AIRMASTER™ FIT for its ATV range of

compressors. Emre Tujumet, the company's CEO, comments: “FIT is a high-quality controller that blows the competition out of the water. There is nothing else that operates or looks like this for the same price point. Moreover, as it’s backed by CMC we know that it’s been developed by the industry’s top engineers and complements our own products. FIT is now a key component in our range and we look forward to continue building our relationship with CMC.” Graham Coats, sales director at CMC, adds: “With AIRMASTER™ FIT, we not only wanted to

provide OEMs with added value without the added cost, but we also wanted to help them to use CMC’s proprietary functionality as a way in which to secure additional on-going revenues with existing customers. Although AIRMASTER™ FIT is the brand’s entry product, it’s capable of regulating fixed and variable speed compressors, whilst also managing a further seven compressors as a cohesive group, and we believe that this product will set the new standard for OEM compressor controls.” Other products in the AIRMASTER™ range include FORM and FLEX, which are scheduled to be

released later this year. For more information on AIRMASTER™ visit:
