Godbye 2025! 10 F
irst of all, a huge congratulations to all the winners and highly commended at the ERT Awards, which took place at the end of
October. There aren’t many occasions where the entire industry comes together to celebrate and acknowledge each other’s brilliance, so when it happens, it feels particularly special. In the next issue of the magazine, we’ll be hearing directly from the winners about their experiences, inspirations, and what the recognition means to them, so stay tuned! In today’s fast-moving industry, no brand or business thrives in isolation. Success increasingly depends on partnerships— whether it’s manufacturers working closely with suppliers to improve efficiency, retailers sharing insights on consumer trends, or trade associations supporting innovation and advocacy. Collaboration fosters knowledge exchange, sparks new ideas, and helps solve challenges that no single company could tackle alone.
ERT plays a vital role in this ecosystem, connecting people across the industry, sharing insights, and celebrating achievements. By providing a platform for dialogue, highlighting innovations, and showcasing excellence, the magazine helps ensure that collaboration translates into real growth and opportunity. It’s also about building relationships across
different sectors and disciplines. The most exciting developments are happening when expertise from multiple areas comes together. By working collectively, the industry can accelerate progress, share best practices, and create solutions that benefit everyone - businesses, consumers, and the environment alike. Turning to the present, there’s plenty to dive into in this issue! I was fortunate enough to be invited by Hisense to tour their factory in Slovenia, and it was an unforgettable experience. The factory is located in a historic mining town, giving the site a unique industrial character, and the panoramic views from the rooftop were simply breathtaking.
Beyond the factory, I was lucky to take a short trip to nearby Lake Bled, hence the picture. This issue also includes a report from the Houses of Parliament, where AMDEA recently hosted industry leaders. Turn to page 12 to read the full coverage and insights from the event. Plus, we have an exclusive interview with Chris Ward, Managing Director of CDA, who shares his reflections on the brand’s journey since taking the helm in October 2024, as well as his vision for the future. And with that, we’ve reached the final issue
of ERT for 2025. It’s been a year of incredible change, not just across the industry, but within the ERT team as well. If you haven’t already, please do say hello; we’d love to hear from you. From all of us here, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Enjoy
