Haden has collaborated with TV cook and wellness expert, Lorraine Pascale. One of the products they have produced is the Digital Air Fryer, pictured here.

For the health conscious Mr Ridealgh identifies ‘premiumisation’ as a megatrend that can have an influence on small domestic appliance product sales. “Healthy eating will continue to be a purchase driver for small domestic appliances, as consumers continue to seek appliances that will facilitate the preparation and cooking of healthy and nutritious meals.” Sachin Bagga, Director of homewares brand, Haden (pictured), agrees.
“Any kind
of product that makes cooking healthy and nutritious meals in a time-efficient and effective way is definitely on trend at the moment. This is the key driver behind
our collaboration with wellness expert, Lorraine Pascale; the products collaborated on include a Stand Mixer, Air Fryer, Soup Maker, Pressurised Instant Kitchen Angel and Health Blender. “The air fryer, for example, offers a lighter
alternative to deep fat frying; the list of what can be created in this is endless. We have enjoyed chips and falafels in the office very much!” Elsewhere, in conjunction with its Eat Like a
Pro campaign, which launched in 2017, Beko is also encouraging consumers to opt for healthy food options with its five-programme Soup Maker, which retails at £99. It comes with a see-through jug and can take uncooked vegetables to a piping
hot soup in 30 minutes - and then continues to keep it warm for over half an hour. The Beko Soup Maker lets you choose between a thick or thin soup with a simple turn of a dial, and it is also equipped with a setting that can crush ice, blend nutritious breakfast smoothies and create cool, creamy milkshakes. It features a 1,000W heater and an 800W power motor for speed and efficiency.
And Beko says that for consumers looking for a little extra inspiration, retailers can guide them to its Eat Like a Pro campaign online for recipes from FC Barcelona nutritionists. These include Cold Pumpkin and Orange soup with Turmeric or a Coconut Smoothie.
Talking of smoothies, for those looking for a slightly simpler appliance, Beko’s new Slow Juicer could be an option. The manufacturer says it boasts up to 80 per cent more vitamins and 15 per cent more juice than standard juicers, and it also comes with a sorbet attachment. The Beko Slow Juicer is packed with the latest technology, including Masticating technology which slowly crushes ingredients through the juicing screw at an optimal 60RPM, instead of chopping them at high speed like conventional juice extractors and citrus juicers. This generates significantly more juice and creates less heat. The pulp can also be kept and used later, such as adding to a soup to thicken and boost fibre and nutrient density.
