Palace Chemicals Offers The Widest Range Of Tiling And DIY Products For Retailers

from Palace, which is ideally suited to the DIY market, is EXTRA-LITE. The EXTRA-LITE range is an ultra-lightweight, thin and thick- bed, flexible tile adhesive, which features a lightweight, highly polymer-fortified S1 formulation to provide the flexibility required for fixing large format tiles and panels. The product’s flexibility makes it suitable for use where underfloor heating is installed. Mixed with water, it creates a high-yield, lightweight and easy-to-apply paste with an extended open time and 50% reduced weight for each square metre applied. EXTRA-LITE STANDARD SET has a 3-hour working pot-life and it is ready to grout the next day.
In addition to its performance advantages, EXTRA-LITE range is a more sustainable choice, since it contains more than 40% recycled materials, comprising sustainable raw materials taken from low carbon production processes. Furthermore, it provides the same performance, while doubling its coverage capability, meaning that users can transport smaller volumes to each job.
EXTRA-LITE STANDARD SET adhesive meets the performance requirements of EN12004 C2TE-S1 and is available in a WHITE cement- based powder that is suitable for internal or external use. There is also a rapid-set version, EXTRA-LITE
FAST SET, that provides all the benefits of the STANDARD product but additionally has a working pot life of up to 60 minutes and cures to allow light foot traffic within just 3 hours after application.

Like all Palace Chemicals products, EXTRA-LITE has a lifetime guarantee. According to Steve Ball, Commercial Director at Palace Chemicals, “Our EXTRA-LITE adhesives have added to the comprehensive range from the Palace Chemicals’ tiling adhesives portfolio, meeting the demand for adhesives that not only work very well in today’s market conditions, but also provide a more sustainable solution, which is increasingly required in the DIY sector.” Other products in the range include its cement-based adhesives, EASI- FLEX, EASI-SET and MULTI-FLEX, all with S1 classification and available in standard setting, semi setting and fast setting formulas along with a full suite of ready mixed adhesives, designed for fixing all tile types to the widest range of surfaces in all environments. The company also offers the NX brand, which fully complements the Palace range and is positioned as a strategic alternative.
Complementing the adhesive range is a full line- up of grouts, including a traditional white super- smooth WALL TILE GROUT for fine joint widths and a coarse-sanded grey WIDE JOINT GROUT for joints up to 20mm, as a standard EN13888 CG1 grout. Palace’s multipurpose ANTI-MOULD WALL & FLOOR GROUT offers the combined benefit of improved flexural strength, shrink-resistant wide joint properties and also “built-in” biocide protection to resist mould growth. The range is offered across a full range of colour shades. Palace also offers its premium COLOUR-LOCK GROUT - a fast-setting, polymer-fortified, mould resistant grout based on lime-free binder technology. The technical composition of this grout ensures that the finished colour shade is consistently achieved without being affected by efflorescence or shade variation.
It is available in a range of 12 colours for wall & floor tile joints up to 20mm wide. Over the past year the entire Palace range has benefitted from a brand refresh, which has seen improved and modernised packaging rolled out across the company’s tiling and grouts range.
